  • Vinyl to digital conversion by arrangement
  • Files direct from camcorders or devices where accessible

  2. Package your tapes securely with padding so they do not move around in transit.
  3. Include your name, return address, phone number and email inside the parcel.
  4. Send using registered and tracked post.

Walk-In Service

Drop off directly in Gorey by arrangement.

Postal Reminder

Customers are responsible for secure packaging. Byrne Digital is not liable for damage caused during postage.

Turnaround Time

Most jobs are completed within the same week. A more accurate estimate is given once the tapes have been received and checked. That is the only sensible way to do it, because some jobs are straightforward and some tapes decide to be dramatic.

Privacy & File Retention

These recordings are personal, and that is understood.

  • Files are treated as private
  • Files are deleted after 5 working days from delivery confirmation
  • No backups are kept unless specifically requested
  • Playback is visually monitored during capture to ensure the recording is transferring properly

Important Tape Condition Information

Old tapes are unpredictable. Some play perfectly. Some do not. Some were stored in attics, sheds or damp presses and come out looking like they survived a shipwreck.

General Disclaimer

Final digital quality depends heavily on the original recording quality and the condition of the tape itself. Noise, distortion, tracking issues and age-related degradation may still be visible or audible.

Mouldy Tapes

Mouldy tapes cannot be processed and will be returned. Mould can contaminate playback equipment and other tapes, so it must be handled by specialist services.

Byrne Digital does not repair damaged tapes. If a tape is visibly mouldy or physically compromised, it will not be run through the equipment.

Areas Covered

Byrne Digital is based in Gorey, Co. Wexford, with nationwide coverage across Ireland through tracked postal service. Whether you are local or posting from the other side of the country, the process is the same: clear communication, careful handling, and no messing.
